The Merchants of Muzduz.com

Help sell the brand and be rewarded in cumulative value discounts for non-business merchants or financial equivalents if you are a business registered with the tax department of your country.

So as an S Silver merchant, you can accumulate rewards and be rewarded with special discount codes for buying muzduz merchandise on the website. That they are cumulative means your discount may cover the full price of a purchase. These rewards are NOT transferable to other people nor are they exchangeable for financial reimbursements. They are only for discount rewards only.

If you are a G Gold merchant then the value of the reward may be reimbursed with tax considerations. You must be a registered business to become a G Gold merchant.

A new kind of Merchant has landed. Artists of Muzduz. Several artists have shown an interest in contributing to the Muzduz site with their own articles of art. So if you’re an artist looking for how it works then please read the full terms and conditions of being a merchant and then continue on to how the art contributions work on top of the merchant system. If they work for you then welcome aboard. Basically, you contribute the art freely in every way but earn a passive income on the back of sales when your unique merchant code is used by customers. Perhaps we can call this type of merchant a D Diamond. So you might be a GD Gold & Diamond or an SD Silver Diamond if you’re an artist.

See more terms and conditions below.

Terms and Conditions

Last updated - 20230612 - Terms & Conditions may change from time to time without notice. If changes are significant then a notice will be sent out to registered financial merchants and artists. If you’re invested in this venture then it is up to you to stay up to date with any changes and if you do not agree with the changes then you can easily send a message to request your exit from being a merchant or artist of Muzduz.

A merchant of www.muzduz.com is about you as a merchant sharing the site with others and giving them a 10% discount code that they can then use at the checkout to buy things specifically and only from this site. It won’t work on any other sites. The code is generated specifically for individual merchants and so each time that code is used by someone at the checkout to make a purchase then the CODE traces the sale back to you the merchant.

As a merchant, your reward is quite simple. It is a reward to the value of a 50/50 split of the net profit margin after the costs of the transaction have been taken out. Some banking fees and delivery costs and admin are involved so the reward value normally averages out to around 15-20% of the purchase price. Sometimes less, sometimes more. There is also a 10% art royalty *value* that will be directed to the artist of the work/items being sold.

What is the reward? There are two reward types. Type 1 is accumulated credit for purchasing goods in the muzduz online shops and Type 2 is a financial reimbursement. So it can either be money or it can be an accumulated credit for you to use while making a purchase in the www.musduz.com online shops.

Type 1 - Accumulated credit is exactly that. It’s a loyalty reward without any transfer of funds where you will be gifted a digital voucher to the value of your rewards and you can then use that voucher during checkout to discount your purchases. It’s a nice way of building up your muzduz inventory simply by sharing your code with other people. The vouchers cannot be redeemed for money but can only ever be used as discount values to buy goods at the muzduz shop online. The vouchers will be ONCE ONLY and only give a discount value up to its value so no change of difference is calculated. Basically, you will need to use the entire voucher for a single purchase since no sums of money can be reconsidered as change.

Type 2 - Financial rewards. This is a more advanced level of engagement that requires a complex structure to set up. You will need to have a small business set up with a tax file number and appropriate banking documentation. Basically, you need to be a Sole trader, trust, pty. ltd. or other official business-type entity.

How does it work? When someone uses your special code to get their 10% discount at the checkout, this gets recorded in our system and we can see which code was used. If it is your code then we take the value of the purchase and the outgoing costs to show the profit and then split it 50/50. Alternatively, since the average reward value comes to around 15-20% we will mostly just calculate the reward value based on the 20% average unless some gross unexpected costs occur such as in returns or refunds or other unforeseeable costs.

Costs include artist royalties which is set at 10% of the profit after all other costs have been considered.

So a sale happens. Someone buys some items online using your merchant’s discount code. Money immediately gets taken from the Muzduz account to pay for the order. Then some days later the money paid by the customer finds its way into the muzduz account minus x% transaction fees. Then the order gets processed and if all goes well is delivered within 2-6 weeks. Once complete and there are no delivery or manufacturer issues then the full costs of the transaction can be determined. At present, since this is a manual checking system once per fiscal quarter ( or every three months ) the muzduz accounts will be checked and cross-referenced with orders to ensure delivery has occurred and no other costs have been incurred or pending issues and only then can an actual full cost be determined and revenue become ready for distribution to financial merchants of Muzduz. As this system progresses it may become more efficient and timely but for now, it is manual and slow. Apologies for any inconvenience. Once the profit has been determined then a 10% art royalty will be added to the costs and then the profit will be split 50/50. 50% for the merchant YOU and 50% for Muzduz.

It seems tricky but it’s as fair as we can make it without

How to become a merchant? It’s simple.

There are two types of merchants. Type 1 and Type 2.

Type-1. Most merchants begin as type 1 merchants because the reward is not financial but is simply a promotional loyalty reward. So it’s really quite easy to become a merchant of muzduz if you’re happy to receive loyalty rewards only. Almost anyone and everyone can become a merchant of muzduz.com without immediate restrictions or limitations and the way to do that is to first make a purchase of muzduz products to the value of over $100.00 in the online shop, fill out your customer details and then fill out the MUZDUZ MERCHANT application below to register your interest to help spread the brand. A special code will then be created for your interest and emailed to you. Then it is up to you to share it with others who may like to use it. Your code will start with an ‘S’ for silver and you will be a silver merchant. Then initials or other identifying letters of your name will be used and then 10% at the end of the code which indicates the discount value you are giving to others.

Type-2. Most people start out as a Type-1 and so the only change that will occur is the ‘S’ for silver to become ‘G’ for Gold. However, if you have started a new trading company then perhaps the code may be changed to better suit your brand. To apply as a Type-2 merchant then please fill in the MUZDUZ MERCHANT application below and submit it. We will then exchange emails where you can provide business, tax, and trading details to complete the formal business end of it. If before the end of the financial year, your account value reaches an amount over $500.00 then the following cycle will process a payment of $500.00 into your business account with the appropriate tax payments made. By the end of the financial year if your account is less than $500.00 then that amount will be paid out during the accounting process.

This is an early venture operation so everything will be done manually. As it becomes more popular then it may progress into an automated online system that merchants can monitor directly but until then, please bare with us as the process will be manually slow and cumbersome until automation occurs. That it is a manual process you will be entrusting muzduz.com for the honesty to report any sales derived through your special code. It is a special form of trust that will not be breached. In this early manual stage, once per month, the sales accounts will be processed to identify and notify merchants of any rewards if they exist in the account. If there are no rewards in your account then no notification will be sent out.

If there is a reward for you to claim then Type 1 merchants will be notified by email and provided with a voucher code to the value of the reward which will be valid for six months and can only be used when purchasing merchandise from the www.muzduz.com website shops on all items. For Type 2 merchants, an email will be sent notifying them that a reward has occurred and for that merchant to make out a sales commission invoice to the value of the reward. If there has been a Type-2 reward paid to a merchant then the merchant will also receive an annual report based on the fiscal tax calendar.

It is stipulated though that the reward value remains always and ever only as a reward value so any and all reward values accumulated in the Muzduz merchant system never gain interest and are always only ever in the currency of the muzduz account transactions. Which is in Australian Dollar values if you are an international.

Your first move now is to jump on board, buy at least $100.00 in merchandise and then register your interest in becoming a merchant of muzduz merchandise. Become a Type-1 ‘S’ Silver merchant and see how many folks are using your special code to save 10% while buying merchandise from here. The more you spread the word then the better chance of gaining rewards. If you’re a Type-1 and it turns out that lots of people are using your special code then you may like to consider becoming a Type-2. Type-1 is cheaper to do because you don’t have to set up a business but it’s only gift vouchers that are not redeemable for cash in any way and since setting up a business will cost you money and time then seeing how well your Type-1 activities are performing may help validate your venture into starting a business to become a Type-2 G merchant. .

The reward values are cumulative and will remain in our accounts as discount rewards only and if not claimed by merchants for as long as the business is in business and the merchant program is active. At any time through this process, you may withdraw your merchant status in writing.

Warm regards

Murry Rhodes

Artists of Muzduz

Artists of Muzduz is a 2023 initiative helping artists promote their brands and earn as a merchant does. Bringing new artists in is simple enough but does require some extra work, terms and conditions to try to facilitate the process fairly given the added contribution of the artist into the merchant system. This system is in the very early stage of development so changes are likely to occur. Fingers crossed it succeeds and it will with your help and enthusiasm as it may become a really nice passive income for artists and merchants alike.

Hello and welcome fellow artist/s. Just quickly, this is NOT a gallery for your hand-crafted art but a place where your art, best suited for T-shirts and hats etc can be found. This is NOT a promotional service although one may be provided later or incorporated into an optional subscription or fee. This is NOT a get-rich-quick scheme and is always in development so be patient and the reward may come. This is a dropshipping type business and so also operates under the same terms and conditions of all the companies involved in the process. You can learn more about these in the Muzduz site’s fully operational (Terms and Conditions)

It’s quite an exciting little venture where you as an artist can be both a merchant of all the muzduz merchandise and earn a passive reward simply by sharing your special code with people who might buy any of the Muzduz merchandise online. As a merchant, you earn the 50/50 profit split and as an artist, you will earn 10% of that before the split from sales of items with your art on it but in truth, while you chat with a potential customer then they may like other artist’s items too and as long as they use your code at the checkout then you still get the 50/50 of profits merchant reward value for the sale after the 10% of profits for artist’s reward is costed out and you’re doing another artist a good turn by letting them earn a small passive royalty and your customer is happy to get what they wanted. Keeping in mind that other merchants out there are selling your stuff too and you get that royalty so it works hand in hand and everyone wins, especially your customer.

It is not our intention to make you famous for your wonderful art but only to offer an honest return for sales of your art designs. You will earn around a 50/50 split of profits on sales of your art as a merchant after costs. Some have said that this is too generous but it’s really NOT. Nothing is free and everything else costs way too much leaving only the slimmest of slim pickings for us artists to try to earn enough to pay some bills and keep our art alive after costs. There are NO GALLERY FEES at present and none intended for the future.

With this in mind, the Types 1 & 2 reward systems as described above in the merchant’s terms & conditions also apply here. If you are not a business registered for tax then you are an S Silver-type merchant and your rewards and royalty values are accumulated in reward discount values. They can be spent only on purchases made on muzduz items on the site and are not in any way exchangeable for money or other currencies. They are rewards only. Only G Gold merchants can be paid reward values in the currency as they are registered businesses for tax purposes.

In the beginning, it may be best for you to simply start an SP Silver Artists account and see how well your discount rewards stack up. If this looks like it will really work for you then consider stepping up to the Gold level. For an SP account, there is quite a bit of time Muzduz needs to spend to set it up. You will not be charged a setup fee but will need to show a level of commitment by purchasing some existing muzduz merchandise up to a value of $100.00 as per the requirement of the normal S Silver merchant. So basically you are a merchant first but will also be submitting some art as a contributing artist.

Watch this space because if an S Silver account reaches a reward value of more than $5,000.00 and if the merchant is willing and able ( qualify ) then Muzduz will help guide any merchants seeking a G Gold status to set up a small business account and Business Tax Registration to help convert the reward into currency.

The Muzduz 50% of profit which is around 15-20% of the retail/sale/discount price helps pay the additional costs in work, fees and licensing of displaying and administering the website and handling your art, getting it onto shirts etc. If you appreciate that then you will appreciate this model and likely jump on board as for your end all you need to do is provide the art freely and promote your own merchant code everywhere you can and then receive around 50% of the profits after costs and as a contributing artist there is a 10% royalty for the art on the item/s as the final cost in calculating the profit.

Other merchants of Muzduz will be selling muzduz merch with your art on it too and they’ll be making 50% of the profit after costs if it’s their unique merchant code that is used at the checkout. This often equates to around 15-20% of the sale price given all merchant codes at the moment offer 10% discount for customers using the code.

All merchants of all Muzduz merchandise earn their 50/50 profit share after the 10% sale discount and other costs. So most of the reward goes to the merchant without the merchant having any further outgoings unless they so choose to promote their own special Muzduz merchant discount code to help increase sales using their unique code.

COSTS - Until an order is completed even Muzduz doesn’t know the costs since this is a global drop shipping business where delivery issues, delays, manufacturer issues, international dollar exchanges and other unforeseen issues can happen and costs can vary or in some cases even blow out to a loss. It’s a rare thing for that to happen and to date, touch wood, there have been no loss cost blowouts but if anything like this does happen then Muzduz will ensure that no merchant or artist will be held liable to pay out any extra associated costs if such losses ever occur in a transaction.

So you need to have read the above merchant terms and conditions and understand that process before accepting these terms as an artist since as an artist you will also be a merchant of muzduz.

Copyright - Any art you provide must be your own work with all permissions to use and can’t be a copy of anyone else’s work whatsoever. If there’s even a sniff of copyright infringements going on then all bets are off and any artist trying it on will be removed immediately and without discrimination from the artists of Muzduz including all the artwork by that artist with residual accounts frozen until a full damage report of such an infringement can be determined. You will also be held responsible for your own breach of those laws. We do NOT provide a copyright search on your submissions so if you are in doubt then please ensure you have done the required searches before submitting it to Muzduz. Your acceptance of these terms to become an art contributor removes all liability of copyright on Muzduz if a copyright claim is made against your work.

As long as you own all the copyrights to the work you submit then by submission of the work and agreeing to these terms, you allow Muzduz full permission to use it for the purpose as intended which includes but is not limited to presenting of the art and image on all media throughout the universe and perpetually for all time. I know that sounds steep but if we advertise something that includes your art somewhere and sometime later it is still somewhere to be found then by agreeing to these terms it means that there can be no royalty claims for the use of that art in that context or any requirements to remove that image ever. If you want to remove your art from the Muzduz merchant’s site and stop it from being sold, we can do that easily but we can’t follow up on the digital footprints of all or any places where that image may have ended up.

If you wish to remove the art from being sold through the merchants of Muzduz then, of course, you have every right to request it be removed and it will cease to be sellable through the Muzduz website within a reasonable time from receiving a dated and signed written request from you to remove all or just a specific art piece.

As we are just starting this Muzduz merchant & Artist venture out, we cannot add your art to every piece of merchandise on offer but will do a nice little collection to put into the online shops. We will look at putting a nice little list of artists with photos of the art on offer for prints and will also do up a few items for sale. At present, we will limit this to five images of your art to submit and we will put your art on at least one top, one bottom/shorts, one hat and one coffee cup or water bottle.

If you supply a photo of yourself and a small Artist description of say two to three sentences then we will add you to the list of Muzduz artists. :)

The idea here is NOT to sell your paintings or photos directly through this website. That may happen indirectly when a customer contacts you after falling in love with your design work on shirts, hats or other items. There is a function here that can sell drop-shipped printed wall art but honestly, the delivery costs of wall art is out of this world and not something I promote readily. So any sales of your original art from leads that come from the muzduz site need to happen directly through you and you must ensure that the purchaser is aware of the fact that the muzduz site is not responsible for those off-site transactions in any way shape or form ( no liability for simply attracting a new customer to your art ).

The risky part of doing this for you is that if you do a transaction like this and if something goes wrong with delivery or payments or there are any reports get made to Muzduz of wrongdoing from that transaction that reflects back on Muzduz then everything associated with your artist of muzduz merchant/artist account will need to be frozen until the complaint is resolved. Sorry, but stranger things have happened and Muzduz shall not be deemed liable for such things whatsoever especially if the outside transaction bears no direct profit or income for the company.

There is an etiquette of complete equality and equity for all here. Any complaints of offending art will be taken into consideration. It’s a tough world these days to not offend anyone so please keep any topical ethos in the art within an acceptable level of cultural, racial, religious, political, ethical and more rules. At the end of the day this site is about celebrating life, science and art and coming together for good things rather than trying to poke at folks for social or political reasons. We can do that on our social media but leave this place just for art. Muzduz shall not be held liable if your art offends others and we reserve full rights to remove any art uncontested if it is deemed by muzduz personnel to be inappropriately offensive to anyone. It protects Muzduz and you from being sued by offended folks.

Dispute Resolution - If an issue or dispute arises then artist/merchant accounts may be frozen immediately until the conflict is resolved. Hopefully, any conflicts get resolved amicably and without much fuss so everyone can just get back to business as usual. As this is a young venture no such conflicts have arisen but mistakes can happen on both sides and so they may. When it comes to rewards and transparency, at present and in this early phase the processing method will all be manual and time-consuming so patience and understanding for human errors is requested.

More terms may be added here with regard to the processing of the rewards as we progress as no doubt there will be a few wrinkles in the system to start out with but it will be accounted for and the accounts checked quarterly ( every three months ) for activity and if and only if there has been some activity then you will be notified of the reward amount. If there is no activity in your account for the full financial year then you may receive an email enquiring how you are going or if you’re still active. If your account is very active then we may provide a more frequent email regarding activity. If this venture is successful then we will certainly look at a more automated online system.
